3301.12.03Theta Octantis / Nouvel Platform
I did a long range trade mission to boost my credits before buying a brand new Viper. Mapped out a few star systems along the way and made around 35k in credits when I returned to Nouvel.
Took it out for a spin out in Theta Octanis and encountered a pirate. I was able to dispatch them but it got hairy when two more dropped out of nowhere and opened up on me. My shields went down but not before an entire floatilla of Eagles came in to answer my crime report and opened fire! It was quite a sight, one I was not expecting. I was bake to earn back a lot of money just from that engagement alone. I'm going to spend that on improvements to this ship and my other one.
I also noticed that things have died down here in Theta. I didn't see any conflict zones on my sensors on my way out from the Nouvel Platform. Good thing too, I would've made the mistake of testing this ship in one of them.
Speaking of conflict zones, I didn't note this in my last log because I was too tired, but an Imperial Capital Ship warped right into one of the zones I was in!
It was an incredible sight. I didn't get near it because I had an Anaconda on my six at the time and I hear those ships shoot at anything that gets too close. Quite the eventful week I had.
I'm a little low on credits so I think I'm going to do a few more missions in The Runabout. In fact, I should probably make the Runabout my main ship and The Freedom my combat role ship. The Runabout is an Adder with more distance than The Freedom could hope to get.
I might need to check on the modules to make sure that is right though.
