Work begins anew

What a week. Ever since we pieced together what the hell was going on with us and the company we've really started firing on all pistons. It's good to have a clear purpose again. You get lost sometimes when you try to define what that is for yourself and you end up looking for it at the bottom of a bottle or on the red-hot end of some... well... 'controlled' substance. In my years as a leader I've never known this level of freedom while yet having a clear goal. It's refreshing. We set about making a plan. I mapped out a decision tree, milestone list, and project timeline that was relevant to our options. Sleaze decided on several tenable courses which met our timeline, hit the most milestones, and followed decision directives. Husque analyzed the options and provided clear guidance on how to achieve each with measured input on viability of each. We each weighed-in on the data and came to a conclusion. The 242 had a course laid in for the future onto the undiscovered country.
After briefing the rest of the 242 and getting buy-in for the concepts we divided into teams. Finance, staffing, welfare, and materials. When you break it down finance runs everything. So they're at the top making sure that all the ends meet and that, when translated into numbers, everything breaks even. Staffing is the management and manpower. Someone needs to weigh personalities, divide hours, motivate efforts, and ensure outcomes while keeping accountability and creative tension in check. Somebody needs to 'swing the hammer'. Welfare is really an extension of staffing, autonomous oversight that provides for the people in the overarching equation. Materials is simply the stuff we need that isn't sapient which will keep things going.
In terms of sunk cost staffing is going to be responsible for making sure that the money lost via people living and working breaks even overall. As such most of our financial gain operations will run out of there. The bulk of the 242 will operate to facilitate that gain and put into the unit funds which can be used to keep the show afloat. We haven't exactly decided how to divide up that effort but there's definitely two tracts -direct outside employment and investment schemes.
Our first move is to establish a base of our own. Renting offices isn't gonna be cheap.
