Preparations and Bad News

Commander's Log: January 15, 3305.I'm approaching my Elite Combat rank and I'm thrilled. That thrilling sensation is heavily downgraded, however with bad news: the Eurybia Blue is making another push in Scylla. I can't assist this time. I'm sorry, home. I have other things to attend to. I'm still engaged in AX activities in the Pleaides. If home falls, I'll be sorrowful, but it is what it is.
Meanwhile, the Imperial Navy seems to have taken the upper hand against Nova Imperium and I am thrilled by this development. Perhaps its time to look for a new home in Imperial Space proper when I return from Distant Worlds 2.
Speaking of DW2, at my current rate of progression, I should be able to depart on Thursday for Waypoint 2. I'm thrilled and ecstatic. This will be my first trip to Sag A* and Beagle Point. Real markers of progression, rather than these Pilot Federation rankings.
Still, my heart will be at home in the Core Systems. I'll keep my eye on Scylla's current status as best I can. I'm not surprised the E.B. are gaining traction thanks to their alliance with Liz Ryder. As long as Commanders want gear, they'll go through her. And that means we have to keep our eyes sharp.
And yet, I'm still in a good mood. Regardless of the state at home, the galaxy will be my home for weeks.
