Admiral Shuggie has passed away. Suddenly. Some commanders got together in the Wolf 359 system where Shuggie's fleet carrier was parked. They passed slowly over the carrier, in formation and mass jumped away. Words were spoken. It was a fitting and sad farewell to a man who was present in every stream, was open to everyone and a welcome visitor and friend to many. Shuggie is missed.
His son Sandy continues to carry the torch.
Shuggie used to turn up in my chats and start firing off quotes from the original Highlander films. And burnistoun skits; the "Nae Rolls" one in particular. Shuggie knew every quote from both of them (and probably more). It was something I'll miss because it was hilarious.
When Sandy shows up he does the same and it feels like Shuggie is there.
Shuggie is missed. Rest in peace my friend.
