Ingrid's Log Entry 3: Arrival, Mapping, and a Moment of Pondering

Arrived at my destination around an hour and a half ago. The system will be listed later after turning in the data, but even though it was already mapped it was a fascinating place. Risky as all get-out as well. The Diamondback took a cliff to the face a few trips ago, but this time Hafjotr almost took an angry-looking neutron star to the face. Made for some beautiful shots though. This particular system didn't just have one neutron star, but two black holes. One was just a few dozen light seconds away. I'm not the most scientific bugger out there, but to me this system seems to be incredibly volatile. Seeing as how a neutron star is made from a collapsing star that lacks the density to form a black hole, what if it had been dense enough? Three black holes in the same area seems like a disaster waiting to happen. Of course there's lots of theories, but I can't help but indulge my own curiosities with 'what if' thoughts. Something tells me it would play out like two beetles trapped in a shaken jar, just with much messier results.
At any rate, just entered the route home into the nav computer; 72 jumps to Rhea. This trip was taken in two parts, it's incredible that I wound up this far out. Lots more data to collect between here and there, and I have already begun to drool over being able to fly the old Diamondback again.
