Journey to Omega Nebula- Log 6: Changing course

I'm currently sitting by a star that is burning my retinas, refueling before I proceed on my way to my destination. There seems to be a small problem, but like most it's something that is easily avoided. If I do, however, stay on this track for awhile there will be some interesting things to see along the way. I'm currently 40 jumps off from a system that will put me just outside the nebula. The nav computer tells me that it's the last sequence star in my route. Seems a bit early, but I might as well have some fun with it.I have been keeping notes of interesting things that I have seen on my way, and I was honestly thinking of publishing them once I got my photos and continued to Colonia space. However, when I looked over them it looked like a bunch of crap that would be compounded in a science journal. I grew up reading stuff like that and still do, but let's face it: that compounded bunch of stuff is boring. I'll keep a bare minimum to use as reference material later if I make the trip back. If this star wasn't so bright I swear it would be this drivel that is making my eyes hurt.
Anyways, both fuel tanks are full to the brim so it's time to get a couple of scans in this system and jet the heck out of here. Perhaps I will be the first to get my name on something really cool out there... or perhaps I will forget entirely about the last message I received and run out of gas. Hasn't happened yet but I don't put stock in delusions or luck for that matter.
