6-18-3307: We Have Always Had a Knack for Titles...

If it weren't for regional geopolitical issues I would never have entertained the thought of setting foot here, and every hour reminds me of this in some way. Don't get me wrong, I'm not exactly complaining, more like doing my usual thing of constantly cracking smartass jokes about something. It was a multitude of things that set my sights on making fun of this place in particular. Many traders in this area know of Stefanyshyn-Piper Camp, a teeny scrap pile that orbits HIP 5687 C, it is so far from the star that in the about ten minutes span that it takes to get there that if you made a drinking game out of counting the recent Hudson fumbles that you would be knee-walking drunk before arriving. Sure the data runs out here pay well compared to others, but it's mostly a differential for the boredom. What would suck after is this is what folks back in the day would have called a "dry county".
Since it is a floating scrap heap I wasn't able to bring Skeggjöld, and I never did jury rig a bunk aboard Herja since she was only outfitted for in-system ops. The goods market never had been much to speak of, but what sort of place doesn't even have cat food? People, have any of you had to feed field ration lasagna to a cat? Here is a hint: don't. It's just a good way to wind up having to clean up a VERTICAL surface on the OTHER side of the cargo hold. Speaking of which, I know the gravity here is rather low to begin with, but how in the hell do they manage to have a serious updraft problem with vacuum toilets? Beware taco night, everybody.
Lastly, after sticking my nose in this fight that we started in the first place, I get back to Stefanyshyn-Piper to restock on ammo. When I let the dock worker know this he tells me they don't have any medium bore multicannon rounds. Great, we started shit in a place where we have to travel out of system to restock on ammo. When I find the NR logistics egghead who thought this would be a good idea they will be reassigned to finding a plumber to fix the updraft toilets. Imagine telling your friends you do that for a living.
This place earned a title from me over two years ago just because I always found the place boring and a little too backwoods. Considering I used to live in the LQ Hydrae system this is sort of ironic. Regardless I had aptly named it Stefanshit-Piper Clump. It seems I was ahead of my own experience here. What I do get out of this that makes me grin is getting to bring my guys in to crowd someone else's port and demanding they give the barbarians some ammo and a popcorn tin.
