Despite the setbacks during the trip, especially that coffee burner incident that caused a fire on the research deck, we managed to make the last stretch in pretty good time. Tefnutet's research team had to put off analyzing many of their samples due to the time crunch until we touched down here, and they have already gotten started. I suppose that's for the better right now, Sam and I intend to hit the bar before getting to work tuning up Geirdriful for the trip to Waypoint 6 and I don't want to take the risk of being around if Tefnutet decides to climb onto another water main to use it as a stripper pole.

I know that Snider will likely not be too happy with the fact that we decided to take a trip this far from home, but she asked for pristine mining sites and she damn well got them. Perhaps next time she could be a bit more specific? I don't know if you have looked through all the new finds that we made along the way, but at this rate I'll be making some sizeable investments when I return to Draguan Nu. Just don't try to read all that shit at once, it took quite some time for the data to be analyzed by the cartographics folks.

Also I want to thank you and Tendo both for persuading Snider to lay off of the warmongering stance, we had been spreading our guys out thin too often between hunting smugglers and fighting the Feds, not to mention the last time we tried this she ordered us to turn around after one damn day. After shit like that the last thing that I can be blamed for is dropping off the radar to get some work on the side done. I look forward to seeing what the restoration crews have been able to fix up, seeing as the eyesore sectors have been sitting there for more than two freaking years, it's amazing what happens when you stop misappropriating said funds for wars that bring us no benefit.

As for when we will be taking off, the plan is to leave late today or early Friday, as the tune-up won't take that long but Tefnutet insists on finishing analyzing all the samples they've collected so that they can send the data back prior to takeoff. I was hearing that rock grinder of his firing up earlier when I was in the mess so I think he has been making more of that blue shit. At least if there's a power outage aboard the ship I can use that blue glow on his nose to find the back of the bridge.

I'll establish contact upon reaching the galactic core, upon which the ship will be turned around and we will begin heading back.

PS: Remember that tea you asked for, the one with the purple shit and a lady on the box? Tefnutet found out what it was right after I asked him. We will be bringing a couple of tons back, so make sure you get what you want from it when we get back.
Do you like it?
