I have been drifting for so long, hundreds of light-years off this corner of the civilized region. Finally there is peace in the system I make home port, trade and influence spread as our squadron works tirelessly to further the reach of power for our host party. One political figure has taken a number of systems under our direct control and towards a better path under the Federation banner.As I contemplate these effects I cannot help but wonder if my profiteering has done any good towards that port I call home, or perhaps am I merely selfish, looking only to further my own wealth? Once I have procured the rich tech upgrades the Milky-way holds for my ship, shall I once more realize selflessness.
