CMND Log 018: HR 6164

Been months since last update, spent most of that time planetside. Currently holding position outside the Tourist Installation located on the edge of the exclusion zone of a white dwarf star that orbits a black hole. Basically one of the most hostile places imaginable and someone built a hotel on it. My kind of place.I hadn't expected to make many of these manual logs while on this expedition, but I realized I had been flying out here without my database running. Thus, I want to make some type of log of the last few days. This Distant Worlds thing sounded interesting enough to get my off my six or so month long downtime. I initially wanted to fly Molly's Stockings out, but after crunching numbers I couldn't get her up to a jump range I feel would be adequate for deep space. So instead I did some minor adjustments to Ditsy Bee. She already was deep space ready, but I outfitted some basic weapons, research materials, and SRV/Mining lazer for some deep space foraging. Biggest upgrades to her were the cutting edge fuel scoop which has got me topping off to max each star I pass by. That should keep me moving at a steady clip.
The trip out here so far has been uneventful. Did some mapping of some interesting planets, including one with life. Noteworthy but nothing that will make the feeds. Going to take in the View then continue on my way. The database is running now, so I won't make many of these going forward and use the database records to log my progress.
