The Journey to Distant Worlds

This space will be used to chronicle my quest for the ultimate Distant Worlds ship.As a new-ish player to the game, I've been enthralled with the sheer depth of the customization of the ships and the expansive options for gameplay. So when I heard about the Distant Worlds 2 event I just knew that should this game continue holding my interest until that event comes around, I HAVE to participate. That being said, my overarching journey will be perfecting an exploration ship for this event.
I've taken a real shine to the AspExplorer vessel as it's simple, yet elegant. There's really nothing it can't do. While it's not as big as an Anaconda and thus not as actively versatile, it is equally good when focusing. The AspX I have now is currently kitted out as my every day driver, I use it to run missions for The Fatherhood, to unlock engineers and to do the occasional Road to Riches run. It's build is here: https://eddp.co/u/U8MZUjd2.
The goal is to unlock several engineers, focusing on ones that can increase the capability of sensors, lighten components and also FSD range. The list is below.
Elvira - G5 FSD -> Achieved
Hera Tani - G5 Power Plant and G5 Detailed Surface Scanner -> In progress
The Dweller - G5 Power Distributor -> Achieved
Lei Cheung - G5 Sensors -> In progress.
The FSD will be long range with mass manager. PP and PD will be 3A and 2A (respectively) Overcharged and stripped down. DSS will be Long Range, stripped down. Sensors will be lightweight. The goal is to push for the most extreme FSD jump range I can.
I'm going to end this here, but more detailed updates will follow in the future.
