Preface :
I was planning that trip since i got my first hand on a sidewinder : a voyage to the center, the place over which our galaxy turn around.
I never tought it would be in such circumstance tought. I always wanted to explore the galaxy, touch the nebula and set foot on place so amazing that few would have such experience. However, my first trip with my trusty Atalante, a diamondback explorer i crafted for days at Farseer's base, was quite disappointing. If it was a formidable adventure, it was also a lonely one. The void of space is something that can be quite frightening. And if it was that bad just doing the trip to the Statue of Liberty's Nebula, what would become of me if i went to the center, so far away from home.
That's why i decided that i would bring company, and here am i, with a carefully built Beluga liner. The Void Anchor, a name partly acquired thanks to CMDR temporelus, the anchor to sail among the emptiness of space. Well if i do want company, my clients will also pay for the ship, or most of it. The ship itself is a wonder of technology, fitted to accomodate passenger with all they need. I also outfitted him to analyze the universe and endure it's rudeness. If the ship has no shield, it can repear both it's system and hull. Yeah it should be fine. Some told me i would better take an anaconda, but how the hell am i meant to appreciate space without window...
I have brought with me three teams of explorer to share my experience :
- First is Clayton Cabrera, he and his crew want to take photography on the top of the universe (above the center). Apparently, he's doing it for some kind of explorer's journal. Well the view must be good so i'll take some photo as well, for the legion.
- Second is Finley Lamb who want to explore a neutron's world. I wonder what that can be, some kind of reunion of neutron star? Well the good thing is that it's on the way to the center. The BAD thing is that the system he want to reach is at the bottom of the galaxy... I will at least be able to brag having blaze throught the whole galaxy, vertically.
-Finally i bring with me the team of Wade Hoover who want to study an exotic giant, whatever that can be. All i can say is that the indicated system is relatively close to Sagitarius A*. Well let see if the trip can make that person open up.
ROADMAP
The trip will have those main step to visit :
1) Ngun - Starting point of the trip and also the End
2) DRYOI PRI GG-Y E5156 - The Neutron World
3) Sagittarius A* - The Center
4) MYRIELK QX-X C28-1093 - The Exotic giant
5) NYUENA RO-Z D184 - The Top of the universe

Day 1 : 02/05/3304 | Ngun | 0 LY from Ngun
22:45
The last cargaison of food just arrived, about 6 week with no need for rationing, it's a liner, the last thing i want to do is upset my clients' stomach.
Everyone got in those marvelous cabines. Checkpoint reveal all system clear, i'm ready to leave the station.
Time to blaze my own trail !
22:55
I just left the civilized's bubble limit. A long trip begin.
01:20
The beginning of that cruise was calm, no remarquable planet and no activity from my passenger.
They seem to have chosen to stay in their respective cabine, probably to sort their material and belonging.
The ship system seem to have adapted to the sudden workload. All my work at engineering the system seem to pay off.
I have stopped the ship's engines when we reached the nearby Lagoon Nebula on the road. The view from the western observation bay is beautifull, some will be lucky to sleep with the greenish color of the lagoon to fill their dream. Tomorrow, we'll explore that nebula before taking the road to the center again.
Day 2 : 03/05/3304 | Lagoon sector BQ-X B1-3| 4433 LY from Ngun
12:25
We've been cruising in the lagoon since early morning. I had the surprise to see my passengers just before going to the bridge. It seem that after a good night and a nice breakfeast they are more encline to enjoy my ship's commodities. Good, it would have sucked if they were going to shut themselves in their cabines the whole trip.
After hours of navigation throught the nebula, admiring the gaz and dust formation all around us, i decided it would be nice to land and take a short srv trip. Doing a bit of animation. I decided to land on the icy world of "NGC 6530 SCP 574 A 4" because it offer a nice view on the nebula's formation.
12:40
Holy crap that was long... After setting course to one of the crater of the planet, i spent a long time finding a place large enought to land a beluga. That ship ain't made for planetary landing that's for sure. At least the gravity pull wasn't really strong (0.32G) so that was one less problem to think about.
13:00
Taking off after a nice lunch with view on ice sea. Exiting the nebula and heading in direction to the neutron world.
15:45
I saw my first neutron star today, a lot different than what i expected, i tought they looked like bigger dward star, but actually the tube are much prettier... If deadlier
20:50
Such a long journey. We traveled all day, with few event apart from the thrill of the few neutron star we met. But we made good progress today : about 140 fsd jump. I could have jumped faster but i tought it would be better to register the interesting planet, mostly water world and earth-like planet, but also a few planet composed of metal. We stopped at the EIDAIK JB-S B35-0 system.
I would have like to explore a few nebula but none were near our path, and if i want to make that journey interesting (notably to entertain my guests) i also want to reach our targets quickly.
The passengers took the second part of the day to explore the ship. I think they found the pool next to the library, hope they won't use it too much, it's a pain to maintain and it damage the books.
Once again i hit my cabin after shutting down the engines, i eat my dinner (printed steak with pepper) and i hit the bed. I should organize a dinner in the bal room with the explorer, it would be fun.
Day 3 : 04/05/3304 | EIDAIK JB-S B35-0| 11219 LY from Ngun
8:50
A good part about organizing a trip to the unknown is that you can charge a lot of thing on the rich passenger. That's why the Void Anchor is loaded with literally a ton of coffee... REAL COFFEE !
Well while at the ship's café i had the chance to have a talk with Finley. Fine person, want to study the neutron world to recolt data for the neutron highway projet, something about reducing fsd strain when overcharging them. Quite usefull with Colonia expension, and could help us right now.
10:00
Thrusters online, we're departing.
11:30
I'm starting to really notice the change in landscape... well star pattern. As we approch the inner part of the galaxy, we observe a large ring of star, riddled with nebula. I invited the three explorers team to observe that beauty, and that doubled as a bridge's visit.
12:45
Lunch time! After all those travel, we're beggining to observe a much more condensed sky. The star are starting to look very bright.
Checking on the passengers with the camera feed, i observe that they're all in one of the dinner room, except for Wade hoover, who's chilling alone in his cabine, like most of the time since he embarked.
15:05
The computer warn me that the last 22 jumps before arriving at our first destination will be vastly composed of neutrons star. Not surprising considering where we're headed, and it's gonna fasten our trip. Tought, i'm running a diagnostic on both the frame shift drive and the AFMU. Also i'm filling my ship with fuel since it's going to be scarce (thanks for the beluga humongous fuel tank, it's gonna be usefull here). Next log will be our arrival on the neutron world... Well i hope so.
