Day 367 - Back To The Rim

January 01, 3303Today marks an important day! Today, following my emergency trek back into the core of the bubble to help out my fellow alliance members in securing some systems which were in jeopardy, I have finally made it back to the rim!
It's kind of ridiculous and someways. The journey that took me 3 1/2 days, an urgent run back into the bubble to sell my exploration data so as to help out my fellow pilots, turned into a 3 1/2 months trip to return to my original spot on the outer arm. I guess I'm way too much like a dog with OCD… And way too many shiny squirrels between where I was and where I wanted to be. Thankfully I am now back! And I'm ready to begin afresh my trek around this gorgeous and dangerous galaxy.
Tonight I rest. My onboard AI, Jazz, has orders to wake me at 0600 hrs. at which point I will get the engines fired up. There's a whole lot of systems left to go, but I'm in no rush. I've got coffee stores in the back cargo compartment to last me for years, do you engines are producing byproduct water in copious amounts, and my food synthesis module is working just fine for me. Tomorrow I get back on the road!
