Road to Beagle Point, Day 08
I'm writing this log to kill time while the Icarus is being repaired (the paintjob is in very bad condition). After eight days of exploration, I have at last arrived at Sagittarius A* (seventh waypoint of my journey to Beagle Point). Sagittarius A* (abbreviated Sgr A*) is a bright and very compact astronomical radio source at the center of the Milky Way, near the border of the constellations Sagittarius and Scorpius. It is the location of a supermassive black hole, similar to those generally accepted to be at the centers of most if not all spiral and elliptical galaxies.
Needless to say, as soon as I got to Explorer's Anchorage I didn't waste time and I headed to sell all the data collected in this first phase of the trip. This 26,000 ly voyage earned me 432,909,531 Cr and the Elite rank as esplorer.
During my trip to Sagittarius A* I had the opportunity to scan many interesting planets and surely the most profitable (the ones I scanned with the DSS) are part of theese astronomical bodies families: Earth-like World, Water World (terraformable), High Metal Content Planet (terraformable), Ammonia World, Rocky Body (terraformable) and Water World...I especially remember a couple of planets that caught my attention:
In the Dumbooe FT-Q c18-2130 system (first discovered by me) I was able to find an Earth-like World (planet A 7).
In the Blu Ain GR-N d6-2445 system (yep, another one first discovered by me) I was able to find a ringed Ammonia World (planet 4).
I've also found a "Rorschach" world of which I unfortunately don't remember the belonging system. it is not of great value, but still caught my attention.
I also took some time to visit a rocky planet and take a photo with some Sinuous Tuber.
Well! apparently the repairs to the Icarus are over...I can't wait to leave for Beagle Point, but first I think I'll spoil myself with some Lavian Brandy (I kept some bottles aside in memory of the times when I made a living with Rare Goods trading) and a long night's rest.
So...here I'am...29,614.21 ly from Beagle Point and before closing the log, these are the remaining waypoints:
