Work, firepower and credits!

I linked up with a handful of members from my organization and took off right towards a handful mission and got right into action. It started off very slow with a mission I took from our contractor sending me on a wild goose chase trying to track down a target known as [redacted]. I couldn't believe the amount of time it took me to go planeside to planeside scanning planetary bases trying to find intel on [redacted] only to realize they were right under my nose the entire time. Once located and after a bit of hazing from my wing mates and some teasing on my ability to track a target, I made quick work of [redacted] and joined my wing mates. Afterwards the real hunt began, we all rallied up at a navigation beacon and scanned it updating our routes on where the next set of targets would be. Not a millisecond would pass by before I would find myself surrounded by lasers and constant warnings on my hud about incoming rockets and missiles and the black abyss suddenly being lit up by all the flashing various colors of beams shooting across my scanner. Putting full power into my thrusters I made haste of targeting my wing mates targets assisting with their destruction before finding myself on the backend of a dog fight only the colossal of a ship simple ram through my enemy as if it was nothing only for it to be followed up with shouting and laughter over the comms. I couldn't help but start to laugh too as I found myself part of the four person team simply laying waste to anyone who opposed up, I've never seen someone use their ship as a weapon until now...There was something oddly amusing about it which only lead to me giving it a test one. After a bit of fun and with the scrap metal floating around the area went sent out our limpets to clear out the airspace of the material left for us to collect, little did we know there was someone lurking around. We sat there chuckling and going over the various kills we had while passing praise around for having each other back when out of nowhere my whole cockpit turn red as alarms blared of a incoming attack, franticly looking around I couldn't see where it was coming from and my scanners weren't picking anything up and suddenly I found myself drifting off into space after I hit my head against the dash almost knocking myself out as a torpedo ripped through my thrusters. All I remember hearing over the comms were my wing mate calling out to me as they dispatched their weapons to handle the threat...I drifted for a while as the darkness seemed to consume me in the process. All I could remember was seeing bits and pieces of flashing zip across my cockpit as I faded in and out of consciousness. Another incoming alert turned the darkness into a red pit, I tried to move but nothing just as I looked up I could see the torpedo headed right for me only for massive ship to get in it's path rocking it instead of me but the blast was enough to rattle my ship "You gonna get back in the fight or you plan on dying here?" "Yea stop being lazy and get your ass in gear." "Sleep when you're dead...wait if you're dead can I have you Python?" The voices in my headset were enough to rally me back into reality as I rebooted my ship and deployed my fighter as my thrusters tried to pull from other parts of the ship. "Alright alright I'm up." I replied "I was just resting my eyes I swear, and I just paid that Python off so no!" They all laughed as I came too and rejoined the fight. I didn't do too much other than fire off a few rails and spray chaffs across the space keeping myself from being a target but in the end we all made it back to the port to repair, refuel, restock and count my blessing for making it out of that. Not to mention we each pulled in roughly two hundred million credits, for now though...I think i'm due for a nice long break. Or at least until the wing calls me to duty again, whichever comes first.
