Pt 3: Confrontation

Jubei Himura walked down the ramp with purpose. This was to be the day that the Imperial military would start a shift into a more efficient and warrior based military. The current pomp and circumstance would be eliminated to make way for a more effective military, one based on the warrior code of ancient soldiers.

The mad inquisitor reached the end of the ramp and took in the fresh air. Memories of his time training in survival entered his mind. This was perhaps one of the few places in the Empire that a man could connect with his more primal side and not be shunned. The freedom of the wild was a little much for many imperials, but the few and the brave warriors that made it through the primal course became some of the best soldiers in the Imperial military.

Jubei hesitated. Was this really what he was after? Sure, he had his issues with how the main body of the Imperial forces acted. He hated the holier-than-thou attitude that flowed from officers who lacked any real conviction or bravery.

Will Jubei succumb to his madness and succeed in his delusions of a violent uprising? ...or will he stop dead  in his tracks? Find out by reading the full chapter here.

I would like to thank Yola for her help with editing. This one is a little short. I figure better to release something short and good, then late and drawn out. Please enjoy!
