Small things can have great potential

Today I stepped back into the Arena for a short time, and I loved it.  It was exhilarating!  I mean, although it is a remote/virtual arena, it felt exactly like the fighters I used to fly in the Imperial Academy and the Pilot's Federation.

My preference is the Imperial Fighter.  That little ship has deadly accuracy and massive maneuverability, as well as the potential to stand against larger ships with the right equipment.  Perhaps when I get a bigger ship, I will carry a fighter in one of the bay's, just for fun.

Just another reminder that we should not judge on appearance.  What looks like a mouse may indeed be a lion.

I just received an order from the Chapterhouse.  I have been asked to checkout D'Arrest Station in the Uibuth system to see about the intentions of the Prismatic Imperium and if there are any ill lurking in the shadows. ...and I'm quite adept in the shadows.

Although their call for a colony of freed slaves is welcome, we need to know if there are nefarious forces involved.  Similar cases in the past have taken advantage of people's kindness and turned the good deed into something quite the opposite.  These have ranged from simply not freeing the slaves and putting them right back into captivity (which is worse for Imperial Slaves as they are simply working to pay off debts and by Imperial law must receive fair treatment), or be used for grotesque human experimentation.  These dark turn of events can be avoided if found early.

While I believe in the Imperial slave initiative (I am a former Imperial Slave who worked off his debt), I truly believe that this small colony holds great potential for the Empire by helping freed non-Imperial slaves get re-educated and re-integrated into society.

"Varity, set a course for Uibuth." I give the command to my ship's A.I.  After a few seconds of charging the FSD drive, my ship high-wakes off to the first waypoint on my mission.
