Get In One Little Fight ...

I heard there was something going on in the Ngolibardu system. So I dropped in there to have a look, and the first thing I noticed was the new friendly voices. Rather than the ignoring as we normally have, now we have real people talking to us. Welcoming us to the station, and even warning us if we are going too fast. I had a look on the boards and saw the friendly faces on there. So at least I can put a face to the person who is asking me to do something. As I headed for the bar, I saw some workmen painting a Cobra Mk IV and jogged over for a chat. Apparently a lot of stations now have a team of people who will paint your ship in any colour or design you want. Well, as long as it is from their catalogue, and of course it's not free.
I found some cute bobbleheads as well, so I brought some.
Pirates have been obliterating the area as well, so I thought I would go and take a few of them out. it seems my scanners have had an upgrade. Possibly when I was in the bar. A cursory scan of a vessel showed it to be a pilot who was wanted, so I scanned to find out what his bounty was, and received information on his shields. well, that was new. I found out he had a bounty of 24k cr so opened up on him. He was in an Imperial Eagle and as he returned fire, I heard a *thump* *thump* *thump* as his missiles hit me. These were new.
After taking out the criminal, I thought I would scan a federal officer, and found he had strange shields as well.
In my time of .. wherever it is I was, things have changed. There were people scurrying around as well, loading buggies into containers. Does this mean we will be able to land on planets soon? According to one engineer, next week we will be able to install these buggies into our own ships. I don't always believe what the engineers say, so I will wait and see if he is telling the truth.
Oh, and on the plus side, I managed to earn 5mil in credits for spacing a few pirates. Not bad for someone who has been in the deep freeze for a weeks.
Take care in space.
