One Man Army

I've been running some of the on-foot combat zones. It's quite the rush. I've been wanting to get out of the ship for years, and now that I've been given the opportunity to do it, I'm getting the exercise as much as I can.

Those combat zones are like true war. Constant chaos. More often than not, your comrades appear by your side to help you take a control point or gun down some enemy. It's good practise and I can feel myself rising through the ranks quickly.

But the last couple of days, something strange happened.

Everyone else, ally and enemy, just stood there. Paralysed, but standing up. Still shooting if they could see someone. But control points? They didn't care anymore.

So it was up to me. To capture the points as slowly as possible. Usually uncontested, so I could even take down my shields and save on my suit's battery power. Often left up to me to fire on the enemy who didn't quite completely just let me shoot them. They still shot back whenever I poked my head out. But now this was different.

Now it was me versus all of them.

I finally became allied with Distant Veterans and unlocked Hero Ferrari, but after I was done, I felt like I could sleep for a year. Like I needed to get back into the black.
