3303-06-28 Lost Opportunities And a New Journey

The decision has been made. I will return to the bubble. In doing so I have to make my peace with the sights I'll likely never see. Crossing the void, Beagle Point, Wagar's Reach. All to be nothing but specks in the far distance.But that's not to say I can't make the most of the journey home. Gagarin Gate, one of the stops on the Colonia highway is only about 15 kylies from my current location. I think I'll head back there for repairs and a proper shower, before swinging past the Conflux. At least that way I don't have to worry about falling apart as the slightest hint of a pulse laser on return to the bubble, and I only miss two waypoints.
Despite the much higher pace of travel, I'm still taking time to survey sights of interest. I passed through an incredible red/green nebula. Of course someone had already been there, they always have with nebulae. But what is exploration without taking some time to appreciate the fantastic sights!
Onward, to Gagarin!
