3303-07-14 Arrival at Gagarin

14 Jul 20172301
It was a welcome sight I have to say, cruising round the arc of the planet and seeing the navigation lights of Gagarin Gate in the distance. On my first docking after long exploration trips, you'll hear me mumbling the returning explorers mantra to my self, "don't forget docking permission, don't forget docking permission, don't forget docking permission"! Unfortunately flying a spaceship isn't like riding a bike, if you're not careful you can forget the very basics!

But talking myself through standard landing procedures, and coming in as slowly as a brand new sidewinder pilot, I safely landed.

It's nice to feel the pull of gravity and to be able to walk around and see something other than the inside of my spaceship, even if it is a fairly desolate planet.

On another note the news from the bubble just keeps on coming doesn't it? It's getting really hard to know what to believe right now, but I'm sure things will become more clear with time. In any case, I'm absolutely certain a well armed ship will be useful in dealing with whatever is to come so that's going to be one of my main priorities when I get home.
Do you like it?
