It was a chance encounter.A huge science mega structure, bored I flew quite close in the Kerr Avon and gave it a scan, just out of curiosity. Up popped a couple of hackable comms arrays. So I scanned them, and discovered a recon limpet location.
What was a recon limpet? And what would happen if I had one?
I headed back to base and did a bit of research.
It turns out I need a cold ship and some recon limpets to steal the data from mega ships and structures; so I splashed out on a Diamondback Scout, a very cold ship.
With just the minimal engineering (FSD) I got her down to 19% heat at rest.
I loaded up the 'Vila Restal' with a few recon limpets and headed out to pirate some data.
