GalNet: Draguan Nu Stays Neutral

06 Nov 2020Rho Tefnutet
The unexpected skirmish between Federal and Imperial interest brought a lot of questions in regard to the New Republican answer, given its trade connections with Baldr. Given the initial unsure answer, General Maite Snider released a short notice.

"Draguan Nu is a hub to many interests given its neutrality within the region. That does not mean both Federation and Empire may pester our attention in regard to the war on the side of The Bubble. However, given how our Federal political rivals from Revolutionary Draguan Nu for Equality put some disinformation in regard to our presumed Imperial liking, we need to put a strong emphasis on the fact that regardless what happens between the two superpowers New Republic shall not support either. If anything, it would be medical aid for both sides in LTT 1935 but given that system lays way outside of our immediate neighborhood, we believe there are better corporations and minor powers which can offer help quicker and for far cheaper price. As always, we stand with civilians belonging to either side should they be harmed in the upcoming conflict."

In addition, General Maite Snider presented an usual monthly schedule for the local funding towards different public sectors on Reightler Dock, given it still has not been repaired after the tragic events with state of anarchy that happened two years ago.

The main message was followed by dismissal of the Draguanian ambassador Ivo Kaspenkov from Rhea system, which resulted in dismissal of the respective Federation ambassador Timothy Maeda by the New Republic. The local rep of the governing minor power assured the media however that such a move is nothing else but reshuffling the personnel for more effective diplomatic relations in the future, given the sour experiences with the previous Federal ambassador.
