The Centre

Its been quite overdue for me to make a logbook entry. As of last entry we circumnavigated all the way to Beagle Point and also Salome's Reach. Me and my crew have documented countless worlds. Rhea has been keeping track of our estimated data value and we are so far at 2.5b credit range. On our way back from Salome's Reach we decided to go over through the Acheron sector then to a peculiar Singularity detected in Mare Somnia sector. The Singularity ended up being no more interesting then most black holes. we then charted our way to Sagittarius A. We have ended our journey at Explorers Anchorage. The station is very new and staff overall seemed ow for the size of the station. I suppose it should be expected being 25k light years away from civilization. A very odd demographic of people here. You have Miners dedicated to finding a gold rush of minerals out here in the galactic Centre. Where there are millions of stars systems packed in a span of 10k square light years. Star systems not even 5 Ly apart from the next. One could see from a numbers standpoint that this sector could be viewed as a gold rush in resources. There is, however, a danger element to this sector. Because stars are relatively close to each other Solar winds can become treacherous. neutron and even smaller black holes are common in the sector so gravimetric distortions can make supercruise and hyperspace speeds treacherous. Then there are the explorers like myself and my crew that are abundant at the station. All looking to keep their discoveries secured and encrypted on their ship. Rigorously studying long range sensor readings for the next clues and discoveries. The station itself has the most advanced long range sensor system out of any station. The stellar Cartographic library on the station is enormous and is open to explorers datalogging possible points of interest. even among explorers this region is a gold mine in scientific discovery. I won't lie and say I didn't check out the library myself. I was in there going through possible points of interests. I may have found V4641 Sagitarii as a possible visiting point before heading over to Colonia. supposedly there is a black hole of tremendous size comparable to Sagittarius A at the center. The way that the systems move around this interest point it doesn't seem that there is a mass of the size they suggest but there is definitely a singularity mass there. Repairs to the ship are going to take some 8 hours so I am ordering the crew to get some shut eye before heading out. Next log will likely be when we reach Colonia.
