65k ly. Never traveled farther than 1200 ly from Likedeeler Magna libertas while doing Research for Ram Tah around the first discovered Guardian Ruins. This will be a logistical and mental challenge. Looking forward to be part of an 8000 ship expedition fleet (think of it!).
Shield of Knowledge is now equipped with A-rated modules all around, and I paid a fortune for the help of multiple engineers to get her up to specs. 52 ly jump range with a full loadout (thanks to guardian tech) - and I'll be damned if I sacrifice overall utility for a meager increase in range. No D-modules, no leaving with empty hardpoints, and no flimsy class 3 shield generator, as many hardcore explorers equip. And I must not forget to bring half a year worth of mead.
Last preparations, if time allows:
- upping Material stores (those material traders are worse than Ferengi)
- engineering the power plant to G1 overpowered (need to unlock another engineer for that)
- optimizing weight
- do something useful with the spare class 3 slot
- Mead
I am thinking about utility for the fleet - as I only have one class 3 slot left, a limpet controller will be moot. Should I mount a mining laser or two for the resource operation at Waypoint 7? Hmmm...
Oh - if anyone wonders: The point defence is specifically intended for the exploration of guardian ruins. I really expect to see a few on the way - Guardian installations seem to pop up out of nowhere nowadays and I hate being constantly bounced around by those pesky missiles.
Hoch den Becher! One of the Likedeeler (Reference) will follow the tradition and sail to the farthest reaches of the void. And maybe beyond.
