20 Feb 2016Admiral Spoon
So been a while since i updated.

But not much has happened, only slowly flying to the other side of the galaxy on my own. Scanning systems here and there and landing on a few of them. But then a couple of days ago, while i was exploring the surface of a planet which was around 32k Light years away from Sol. My Type 9 suddenly came under fire. Who ever was firing on me, took my shields down in a couple of seconds. I pulled up immediately and hit the boost, desperate to get back into supercurise. But just after i went to 90, the "MISSILE INCOMING" warning popped up. These Damn Missiles took me down to 11% hull before i could escape into Supercruise. To make sure my attacker didn't follow me, i hopped over to the next system to survey the damage.

Lucky me just got away, barely. Who ever shot at me had my Thrusters targeted so they were almost as badly damaged as my Hull.
After a day of repairs, which used up all the ducttape i had and almost all the materials in the two AFMs. I had to decide which keep on pushing and risk not making it back at all or cutting my losses and turn back.
I obviously chose the reasonable alternative, i invested to much time in this adventure, to loose everything over my ego clouding my judgement.

So i have turned back and i am only a couple of jumps away from Sagittarius A*. Sag A*, if i visit that system even more it will become my home system. But maybe i will meet some people there this time, with that whole Distant Words thing going on. But i better watch out, as soon as someone deploys weapons on me, I WILL jump out.

Cmdr. Admiral Spoon signing off.
