PART I

NEXT PART:
PART III

We woke up and grabbed a coffee at the Ararat's bar. The carrier made it to HIP 17403, Planet A 4 A. At coordinates -34.98, -141.41 is the wreckage of a Thargoid Interceptor, and with it, Thargoid sensors. Our plan is to gather a lot of these sensors, again, both for stockpiling and the experiment that is to be performed for Trierarch Jeremaya.

And so we descended down to the surface and approached the husk of the crashed vessel. It emitted a faint glow, and there were a total of 6 sensors we were able to pick up. They produced weird noices and upon returning to our ships, we noticed that they had corroded the cargo bay area of our SRVs. We were thus quick to load up the sensors to the corrosion-resistant racks, and set course to Mel 22 Sector UE-G b11-0 A 2, our first location where there was to be a Thargoid Surface Structure.

When we arrived in orbit, we located the site and landed right next to the entrance. I loaded up one sensor, and took 3 relics with me, the first set of 3, the other set being intended for the other Thargoid device. The sensor began corroding my SRV, but I jettisoned it as soon as I was able to go inside. Free from corrosive damage, Gerard went ahead and located the central chamber. In here, I plugged in the 3 relics and told Gerard to activate the machine. What ensued was crazy. The entire room lit up in an orange hue, the machine started to produce crazy temperatures, and all nearby scavengers turned hostile towards us. From there, we did a madman's dash to collect the relics, now labelled as "unclassified relics". We then made a gauntlet run to get outside of the structure, and reached our ship. Once there, we transferred the unclassified relics onboard the NNV Key and flew to the NNV Ararat for our next destination: MEL 22 SECTOR NX-U D2-31 3 A.

Signing off,
