Starting on February 8th of this year, I decided to head off to the Col 173 Sector JS-J d9 region. Why? Simple: The Canonn Interstellar Research Group has a galactic map about brain tree locations, which usually means that Guardian Ruins/Structures are nearby. To that extend I decided to look on the map and found that there were only 3 systems of the JS-J d9 sector indexed (1 system with 2x Guardian Ruins [Found by CMDR LilacLight] in January 3308 and 1 system with brain trees [Found by CMDR Alkibiades] in February 3308).
The objective was set: I would go and visit Col 173 Sector JS-J d9-0 all the way until Col 173 Sector JS-J d9-95, using economical routing to ensure that both the 96 systems of the sector but also their immediate area were covered. Commander Cococay decided to help out in regards to starting in the nearby Col 173 Sector KS-J d9 region that was indexed whilst Col 173 Sector JS-J d9 was being indexed. Surveying from KS-J d9-1 up to Col 173 Sector KS-J d9-15, and ending with Col 173 Sector KS-J d9-61. I wish to thank him for his scientific contributions as the sector is not yet complete, but the findings of brain trees in the area provides reason to investigate that sector for future archaeological surveys.
The expedition of the Col 173 Sector JS-J d9 area has concluded on April 28th 3310, 2 months and 21 days after it began. The results are very nice, as I have been able to map 18 additional systems to Canonn's 3D map of surveyed brain tree systems. Furthermore, Cococay's partial survey has added 3 new systems to that same map. To that extend, we have thus contributed to the index of known brain tree areas within the Regor / Gamma Velorum Guardian Bubble with finding 21 additional systems within the general area.
