Cmdr. BVit's logs: A promotion and a meet up

Today, I was hunting for pirates in the Kremainn system. That's become my primary source of income now, and there's never any shortage of them. It can be hard, but I like to think I'm good at my job. Or maybe the fact I'm still alive is because I'm cautious. I don't take on things that I'm not sure I can take down. As much as I hate the fact, pirates in a wing often get to go free, since I know I'd be the one getting spaced. That's what a wing of friends is good for. After turning in 2.2 million credits worth of bounty vouchers today – a pretty damn good day at work, if I do say so myself – I got a mail from the Pilot's Federation. My combat rank is now Master, and I'm very proud of it. It's always nice to get a little recognition here and there.You know, I think I might be starting to make some friends out here. You get fed a lot of exaggerated truths in those Pilot's Federation. The Bluebird is quite a big ship. Not as big in comparison to some others, but when you're the only person in it... It's very empty. I look forward to the day that I'll be able to get a crew. As much as I admire the fact that even the largest of ships available to us can be controlled entirely by the ship AI and a single pilot, it would be good to be able to get out of the seat and talk to someone else, eat with them, warm your bed with, or turn to high five them when a pirate's hull hits 0%. The ship's AI isn't really as enthusiastic as I would like to be. It also seems like she only wants to talk when it's bad news. Cannot comply! Shields offline! Warning, landing gear not deployed! Docking request denied!
Oh wow, I'm making this sound really sad, aren't I? Don't worry, I'm not depressed and I'm not that lonely. I love my job. I was just trying to say that they never really prepare you for spending days, weeks, or in the case of the explorers, months on your own. Because of that it's important to try and make some friends. If they're pilots too, even better!
After my promotion to Master, Cmdr. Weaver and Cmdr. Xeknos contacted me to ask if I'd like to meet them. We arranged to meet up on one of Kremainn 2's moons. There were some technical difficulties along the way, but it was nice to see them nonetheless. I even managed to get a picture of us in SRV's!
