CMDR LOG - 33040807 - Positive Influence on the Bubble?

I started to think about what I meant by my last sentence in my log located here“Positive Influence to the bubble...”
When I think about that more, it’s a pretty broad statement. What I think is positive could definitely be taken a negative to someone else.
Naturally we will gravitate to people and factions that reflect our own personal principles. Though my origins are Federal space ( more on that to come ) I identify and support the Imperial Empire. For example I support Alissa Duval and the tradition of Imperial Slaves. I’m sure there is plenty of people out there Federal and Imperial, that would disagree with that, but I support the opportunity for a person to put themselves into servitude in a controlled, secure and safe way with agreed terms, to pay back a debt they can no longer service
Almost all imperial slaves I have come across say they are treated with an extreme amount of respect as they have chosen to not disgrace themselves and offer their freedom in lieu of payment. I know some people reading this might be asking if I have transported slaves. The answer is yes. But only Imperial Slaves, I have also freed illegal slaves as well.
Transporting Imperial slaves was actually rather hard, before I could transport them, Imperial authorities had to inspect my ship and the conditions in which they were being transported to ensure it was safe, secure and sanitary and that any delay or miss treatment of these people would be met with harsh punishment. All the slaves I have met doing so have been pleasant and content for the most part.
This has gone slightly off topic, and I feel I will need to write more about this in a separate log, but as you can see I believe that these actions support a positive influence to the bubble, by providing a safe and secure place for people to pay back their debt when their life situation has changed away from being able to do that financially. That is how I see it.
So as I think more about that line perhaps I should be more direct on what I meant, that we can’t ignore basic human rights, regardless of faction, and would be inhuman to ignore those rights if they are in jeopardy or to challenge these rights of someone else. Everyone has the right to live and protect themselves if someone challenges that.
In short, I think the final line should have been more like...
...I ain’t going to go shoot shit for no reason, but i ain’t going to stow my weapons when someone else comes shooting at me…
