Expedition #3: The Great Expedition

Preface

My third and undoubtedly potentially the biggest expedition yet starts now. Beginning in Kamadhenu, I plan to visit the Int. 4th Quadrant, pass through the Norma Arm, visit the Lower/Int 1st Quadrant, pass through the Sagittarius Arm, and hit Sag A* for the first time on my return trip. With each of my target destinations, I plan to create "hubs" of exploration, where I explore everything within 5-15 LY of a target destination. While  I am charting space for the greater good of humanity!

Begin Day 8. Here is where even the amplified eye's reach begins to have less influence. True uncharted lands. I have yet to pass the Eta Carinae nebula, but from the bubble, things this far out are pretty dim.

TD 9: HD 84992. Arrived 7 Apr, 3302. 07:14. Discovered already, of course. But this system is spectacular; it holds two B class stars and a whopping 12 T Tauri stars. Since this is another discovered area, I'm going to forsake the hub.

My expedition has come to an end, extremely solemnly. Unfortunately, while I sought to distribute data evenly throughout the empire through the Inquisition, I found an untimely end through piracy, being cornered by pirates and destroyed. I was able to disseminate over 55,000,000 CR worth of data, however, and it has reached the appropriate cartographic scientists. My work was still accomplished, though not fully. With the new discovery of Jaques Station near the core, however, it seems another venture to the black is warranted...
