Ship's log: star date-- 6.2.3307 M you got the system working again? oh there it goes. good. I can record now. Ahem, Commander Zedakiah checking in after a... very close escape. Finally just got most of the ship's systems back to full functionality. the outer hull plating is still being restored but that should be all that's left. For some reason (probably just me being stupid) I decided to take a new pilot to thargoid space on board my ship perhaps just to scare them a bit. I only expected to maybe fight a handful of scouts and show him what the thargoids just are... that plan didn't exactly work. We found ourselves dragged into a conflict zone to help some other humans that were under attack... and before we knew it we had not one... not two... but THREE Basilisk-class thargoid interceptors. I would like to note that despite my fair bit of thargoid fighting I have done in the past, this was actually my first encounter with a basilisk interceptor... and I got three all at once. We barely got out of there with the engines still running. It was a wonder the engines didn't just give out with how hard we were pushing them...
So anyways, now I am hanging out in the hangar bay while my ship gets repaired. I think after I get these new commanders that I agreed to help train ready, we will head back out to Delphi as a group... and get some good old fashioned revenge. Quite honestly I think that in that fight the thing that was damaged most was probably my pride.
Well then, I think while this repairs I will head back up to the Eridanus bar here on Serebrov... My 'netics may prevent me from getting drunk, but it's still time for a drink.
