The Goal

Star Date Log - Who knows or cares out here in the seemingly endless void.In the previous log entry I asked if it was worth it. In this case you must know the goal in order to begin to judge if the actions are worth the goal. Can anything be worth the suffering endured carting rich spoiled heirs and heiresses around the galaxy? I already know that I'm at least 1/2 crazy but I invite you to have some fun judging me. The name of the grandfather who was such an influence on me was Grandpa Phil. He was a space explorer and spent his life roaming the galaxy earning his keep in a variety of ways but always with an eye to chasing whatever conspiracy or legend had his attention at the moment. Having him stop by to visit us and have him fill my head with his stories of adventure along with whatever other nonsense he believed in was a major highlight of my childhood. We lived in a mining station that my dad, Dig, never took us away from to go anywhere or see anything so Phil's visits were like bright lights in a very dreary existance. Phil's favorite obsession and one that never left the back of his mind was the space ship graveyard and mausoleum. A system with a alien/human hybrid station thousands of times larger than anything in the bubble and for further than the eye can see all around it space hulks that are of both human and alien manufacture. All derelict and devoid of any signs of life. Supposedly the alien ships are from many different alien races and not just one. Now here is the rub. He swears he saw it with his own eyes. But that is another story. The goal is to find the space ship graveyard and mausoleum. I must honor the memory of the man who I believe was the greatest space explorer of all time, Phil Graves.
Commander Rob Graves, out.
