It's Getting Dark Out here

10 Aug 2019ArgusWolfe
I've been at on my little exploration jaunt for a few weeks now, and it's been quite the trip so far. I've seen a lot of the usual stuff, of course. A lot of stars, and rock or ice balls, sprinkled with the occasional water world or earthlike. I've also seen some really cool, first time things for me, like space crystals and bark mounds. I'm sure others have already seen things like this, but it's still very new for me.

Mostly, I've noticed how dark it's been getting. Narvert is more or less right on the galactic plane, with plenty of stars around to fill the skies. The route I've taken has pulled me out away from the core, and it shows. Stars are already more sparse than they were back home, while at the same time, I can turn coreward and see the massive cloud of gas and stellar bodies that is our galaxy. It's both eerie and beautiful at the same time.

I love it.
