"You'll never get rich carrying passengers..."Very true, but a few good sightseeing trips can make things better, so much better in fact that I went and bought that promised Beluga, traded in the Orca and parted with a few million credits and walked onto the bridge of this new, shiny white leviathon.
Just a short jump to home base where I can fit out the essentials with upgraded parts and we should be ready to ferry the upper crust in absolute luxury!
So I get stuck in the letterbox on the way out from Sharp Dock - cussing continually as the warnings from FSP get more ominous and I can almost hear the big guns in the letterbox warming up... I cleared the cage with not many seconds to spare, I'm sure I ruined both my best coverall and the station gunner's day.
Docking computer effortlessly drops me on my pad at Simpson, a trip to outfitting and now the Beluga can jump a LOT further so off to Sharp Dock once more to pick up a follow-on passenger option. Deja Vu... The big fins have got stuck in the toast rack again and I've got to shake the big bird around to get her out before I make Simpson's gunner's day!
Got to Sharp Dock, sold the Beluga and bought back the Orca and added a little Dolphin to the fleet as well, Fly the Orca out on the follow-on and get the couriers to drop the Dolphin in to Simpson for me.
So, no more con-man (thanks to the Beluga) - if I can only pick up a handful of passengers for sightseeing they ride the Dolphin instead of the Type 6 and the 6'er now has a purely exploration role, everyone is happy!
Just as an aside, those liners can run fast, getting pulled out of Supercruise by mercenaries in big ships (I always submit) is almost a joke, I'm flipped, flat out and boosting past them before they can even unship their guns, and by the time they have flipped their big, slow ships I'm on the way back to Supercruise before they can even get their first shot at me. Love these liners...
