Log entry, 20 Oct 3305I am starting to get used to the idea that Thargoids are no longer present in the bubble. Even though there still are brawls in the Pleiades that is not a major threat to the main population. I am still wondering why they left and how long are they going to remain silent.
As a xeno hunter it has been a bit difficult to occupy myself lately. I've been doing mostly data courier jobs in the bubble but occasionally I've played mercenary for some friendly factions near Hajangai. Abaddon just ain't cutting it when it comes to combat with human technology. Gauss are not that effective and you run out of ammo pretty fast. But the enemy isn't having any easier time as the speed on this baby makes them look like Lakon transports. But at the end of the day the fact remains that I'm not a courier nor a combat pilot. I'm Anti-Xeno scout.
The Fatherhood is embarking on their second deep space expedition Lost Souls 2 next week. I was part of the first Lost Souls and even though I almost felt the space madness at times it was also satisfying to see the far reaches of the galaxy. This time they will head towards Colonia and onwards to the unknown. I've decided to join the fleet. I've never been to Colonia and I've heard of its beauty. Still my main agenda will be to seek traces of the Thargoids. If they are not in the bubble they are located somewhere else and it's my occupation to find out where. Of course I'll be flying the Abaddon as there really is no other ship for me anymore save for the Ultima Thule. But that is only for the big boy battles with Basilisks and above. Abaddon has decent enough jump range and if I see some scouts or Cyclops' they will know Thy name.
The journey will take many months but I've talked about it back home. Wife actually thinks it may be a good idea too. Lately it's not been that easy with us. Even though I'm home my mind is still in the combat zone. So in order to save myself I must meet my demons and leave them. At the far end of the Lost Souls.
