Last night I had to dock and log off earlier than I wanted. I realy felt poorly. This morning I decided to go Planet side to see a Medical Practitioner to check if I have not been contaminated by a space bug or something alike. It seems I have. Apparently and luckely a common bug found in combat zones, would you believe? Apparently I got infected by a space faring bacteria that enters your ship the moment your canopy is breached. Yes you have your facemask on and filter systems is in place and life support is a separate system, but what I did not know is that you’re supposed to decontaminate your ship after a hull or canopy breach. These little bugs thrive in the combat zones as they are created when guardian equipment is damaged or destroyed. They then hover there in the combat aftermath and is picked up by us when doing our civil duty.
It takes me back to the days when I was an Earth dwelling cop on the streets, where we were treated with antivirals after an arrest got rough and the perpetrator shed some blood and you got exposed to it. Well the treatment made you so sick that you considered taking your chances with whatever they were attempting to stop or prevent.
Well in the current case I felt poorly all ready so I took the meds the Space Doctor provided, hoping to feel better soon. The bug mainly effects your digestive systems, so cramps and diarrhea is the start of it, then the muscle aches as your body gets dehydrated, and then the headaches.
But not much can keep me from going back into the black, so here I am today, aiming to do some damage, a bit more than the bug is doing to me....admittedly the meds does help already, I do feel up to some skirmishes and or work can be done.
I’m still docked at the last point I delivered some data last night: Dearden-Salter One in the Calhuacan System. I’ll be launching from here heading to Maausk to find some work to be done or continue to work on my ships engineering.
Apparently their are no orders for Maausk at this stage, so I checked the mission board for Systems that need work.
Found Njiri System has some high priority missions. To Njiri it is then.
Target 10 Bounty vouchers and 50 Inf for OoM
That I can do, so Mission board at Njiri found me with three Missions for INF
#1 took me to Carthage and the Cook Dock. No events, only bonuses for quick delivery time, Payout 222 708Cr and +2 INF
#2 we went to Cardea and Utkin Palace. No events. Payout 11 083Cr and + 3 INF
#3 took me to Morana and G-Mahony-1. No events. Payout 10 000Cr and +3 INF.
So I decided to do some Bounty hunting. I took down a number of ships, including a Krait Mk2, Krait Phantom, Federal Gunship and Emperial Courier. bouties collected for the amount of 700 564Cr. Only the Krait Mk2 was a bit of a challenge. He was on Elite rank. But a retired with little more than a scratch.
I decided to find lodging at the station In Nijiri where I redeemed the Bounty Vouchers. At least I found something better than closet and bed. This room had a separate sanibox and kitchen. the bed not bad either. The only thing I need is my girl and all would have been perfect......well mostly.
