I think I might have underestimated how much shit I'm in...Being labeled a terrorist is admittedly new for me. But it seems I'm on some kind of very special list now. My notoriety has been pegged at the tenth tier for a while now and my lawyers have refused to work my case. Staying low is getting harder. These assholes are persistent. I've been able to dodge most of them, but some of them I've had to kill, and one of them shot out my life support. Good thing I had the extended reserve tanks. That got me to a station. On the plus side, with my shields shot out there wasn't much downside to going silent running and the Krait handles sensor deflection pretty nicely. But anonymous protocols are severely limiting and tend to draw suspicion when people notice you're using them.
I'm used to heat. It happens. But this, this is something new. I named that damn thing Pandora's Box because I thought it was kinda funny, but now I'm starting to think I've kicked over some kind of hornet's nest here. LYR has been silent, and I have no way to contact him. Sirius Corporation is gunning for me. The kill squads, the bounty hunters, and Sirius ATR keep showing up in the places I've been and I can't lose the notoriety. None of the usual tricks work. With my lawyers out of the picture, I'm finding it pretty damn hard to stay in the bubble. It's strange, even the people who normally hate Sirius Corp are avoiding me. What ever happened to "The enemy of my enemy is my friend"?
I'm going to try something. I've made contact with a prestigious law firm using a disguised identity. I've offered them a lot of credits to give me protection, claiming that I pissed off some Imperial noble with too much money and he's got his goons trying to track me down. It'll explain the attention I'm drawing - for a while anyway. Lawyers are good at dealing with police and bounty hunters. They're surprisingly good at protecting people, in my experience. But once these lawyers figure out the truth, I probably won't be able to count on their protection any longer. I'm hoping it'll be long enough. I just need a few days...
