Trying for current explorer contracts Raxxla Appeal for Exploration Data

Started out a few days ago with the event ending in just over 3 days. Now currently at BLO EUR SZ-H B51-8 and 1 day 18 hours to go. Likely only get a few scans in before needing to turn back to do 300+ jumps go get back home. At least I'm finally over the 5000 ly from start. I am curious what will happen to the current story regarding their leader Salome after being found guilty of attempted assassination of Denton Patreus while on a quest to the Formidine Rift.
Update: I did make it out there and found 1 beacon and noted it's message. Goofed on remembering when the event ended and found I had 12 hours to make it back to turn in. Went as fast as I could and missed it by 40min. Cashed in the explorer data with Farseer instead increasing my rank to 5.
