========================================================
I took my steps out of the stasis chamber. After a stasis of several months I felt the nauseating effect of my body starting each section on one by one. I walked to my terminal and red the recent GalNet reports, galaxy was in flames. After the failure of Salvation and the chaos after the proteus wave launched, the Xenos flotilla has approached the core of human space, sowing destruction on their wake. There will be time to join the war effort, but before tempting fate as I did in HIP 22460, I was forced to take a moment to regain my strength.
The hangar bay doors creaked open as I walked to my personal vessel: the pathfinder. The entrance ramp lowered into the hangar deck, almost welcoming me back inside it after a long while. Even though the maintenance crew had taken care of most of the mechanical maintenance, the crew quartes and the bridge had collected it's faint layer of dust during the time of it had been idly waiting for my return. I sat down into the pilot's chair and sat down into it. Even though my body was still aching all over after the long time I had been in suspended animation, the pilot's chair felt like a comforting embrace. I waved my hand in the armrest's console and brought up the primary display. As soon as the display appeared, it synchronized settings with my suit and the mechanical voice of the cockpit voice assistant greeted me with the synthesized toneless hospitality.
+GREETINGS COMMANDER, INPUT PERSONAL CREDENTIALS TO PROCEED+
I typed my access codes into the keypad and the machine voice responded.
+WELCOME COMMANDER, INITIIALIZING PRE-FLIGHT CHECKUP SEQUENCE+
Screen blinked with various checkups, all systems were operating nominally. On few clicks the heart of the pathfinder started to beat far away in the distance, with it's pulse singing throughout the ship's hull. Sensor arrays updated, showing the various blips of spaceships buzzing around the fleet carrier like bees flying to and from the hive. Platform creaked and rose to the surface, showing me the ocean of stars to each direction.
I opened galactic map, the targiod activity was marked in numerous locations around the bubble. Thousands of lives begging for help, each represented by a marker in the galmap. It would be nothing else, but in my best intrests to go there and help them. However, I was in no piloting shape. Due to the recent exit of suspended animation, I was as nimble and fast from my reaction as type-9 is at turning, on the battlefield I would be dead in seconds if I was lucky. I should keep myself busy in other ways for the next week or two, for the effect to wear off.
I pointed towards the center of the galaxy. 'Plot course to the nearest neutron star highway there' I told to my machine companion.
+PLOTTING COURSE TOWARDS SAGITTARIUS A*, NEXT SYSTEM IN PATH: Col 285 Sector DG-Y a30-1+
The covas responded with it's usual toneless acknowledgment.
'Sagittarius huh, I've never been there' I murmured to myself as the ship unlocked it's docking clamps and the engines sent me forward onto the small diversion ahead.

---[LOG ENTRY RESUMED]---
It's now been a while as I started my journey to the center of the galaxy.
This is no longer flying in the emptiness of space, as I'm just sailing through the waves of cosmos, surrounded by thousand stars.
