Colonia

Aaaaaaand… Here I am at Colonia. Docked and repaired. Even treated myself to a fresh coat of paint. When I docked, I stripped and stored all of my engineered modules and bought a stock 'Sidey to putter around the Colonia system in. If I happen to get ganked, I've got an express ticket back to The Bubble, which I'd be 100% fine with.
I have to admit, I made less Credits than I hoped I would for the trip to Sag A and then Colonia -but I did make about as much as I thought* I would. I guess my thoughts were being clouded with hope from the tales almost all of the other DW2 pilots have been telling of their exploration windfalls. Tales of 2B credits were common on the Discord channels. I would always take such stories with a grain of salt, seeing how CMDRs just LOVE to exaggerate stories of their greatness... All told & round trip -I made about 400M. I mostly just scoop-&-honk'd, but when I saw tasty earthlike/water/Ammonia worlds I'd often map out the terraformable ones. I wasn't quite as diligent with the Metallic worlds, so I left many of those unmapped, which I am sure reduced my total haul significantly.
There were several legs of the journey when I reduced my travel time significantly by neutron star boosting, thus reducing the total number of systems I visited vastly, this obviously reduced my Credit total as well... Still, I was really going space mad there for a while and I'm pretty sure I would have quit or self-destructed long before this, had I been exploration grinding the whole time.
My only regret on this endurance run is that I didn't discover any Black Holes. C'est la vie.
I am looking forward to getting back to The Bubble and getting back into combat, trade and Power Play.
