Cormac is dead, it turns out he was aboard the Kingfisher.I guess this shouldn't come as a surprise, he was always all about peace, and he seemed fascinated by them the last time we spoke. That being said, he didn't even tell me he was going to be aboard the Kingfisher. Perhaps he fully expected to come back and tell me what he saw in person.
All those years of political maneuvers, assassination attempts, a battle with age and he got murdered by some alien whom he never even wronged...
The news doesn't end there, I learned this from the Federation... The Empire couldn't even be bothered with telling his son-in-law. The Feds apparently want to discuss a pardon in exchange for some political say in my pending status. We'll see about that.
Cormac never got to tell me what he saw out there but no matter... I intend to see this "Taranis" myself, and I aim to outlast it, no matter what.
