My first few weeks at the realm...

A friend of my mentioned the fact he was playing a very intruiging game online, called; Elite Dangerous. He got my full attention span. Because I played Elite many years ago on the Commodore platform, with weird graphics. However, then it was still one of the best in my mind. After signing up, downloading and installing the game... What an improvement, wow. A full new virtual world, using the internet and astonishing graphics. After two weeks into the game, I ordered the Horizon version.. and started the game with an entirely new dimension. Landing on planets etc.The first mission I got was a pirate waiting on me. I was smart enough to have my weapons ready and installed including some missiles. He saw me as a newbie, I still am, but after his threats, I locked on him, fired all that I've got. And his message to me was: "Hugh, not expected this one!".
After a few weeks flying by myself, I got contact with a group in the Caerus system, CCE Security. Moreover, from that moment on things running entirely different. Group missions, having a goal and a home base to execute your missions from, impressive. The core members are US based, I'm the only EU guy, but that will change.
Anyhow, at this moment I'm flying from the Caerus System my missions with my Python (valued 97Milj Cr.), and being honest, I like it very much.
The interaction with other players, the intercepts, cargo and other things you need to take care of. Learning from my own mistakes.
Still figuring out the best settings in the weapon area, but sure, the next missions are already in the planning phase.
Safe flying and see you out there,
