Finally was able to get off the moon we've been stranded on for the last month. I was starting to wonder if we were ever going to get the systems repaired. We unfortunately lost our chief engineer after the rough entry. We were thankfully able to bring her home and lay her to rest. I expressed my deepest condolences to her husband and 2 daughters who were left behind. We all know what we sign up for when we head off into the unknown, it doesn't make it any easier though to say good bye and grieve the fragile lives we have. The crew deserves a little time off the ship. I look forward to repairs being done by tomorrow evening and then getting on the road again. Smells like a lot of work needs done around the Fatherhood's many systems. Until then, I think its time I retired to my quarters and visit family.Signing off.
