Cyberian Exploration - Something Isn't Working Right

Went back flying MSS Sunrise and missed out on a 100k credit mission due to not knowing how to activate my basic scanner to get system data. The system showed 3 stars and the outpost I was supposed to go was not shown. The method used to obtain system data is to seek out a nav beacon and scan it. I found the nav beacon but my controls were not set up correctly to activate the scanner so I had to head back to a station and abandon the mission. I believe I have my controls and a better understanding of them configured now and will test them out before taking any more missions.Not to be discouraged over the failed mission I ran some more courier trips and made my first 1,000,000 in credits and was able to almost A rate MSS Aquila. I think I have all the controls set up properly so I'll be taking her out to do some test bounty hunting. If everything goes well I might even pull the trigger to see what I can score. While I was running data delivery missions I've figured out how best to avoid interdictions. The last few I was able to escape with no issues. I wonder why I never noticed that escape vector circle before?
