Cyberian Exploration - I Need More Skills

Took MSS Aquila out for a spin to see how she handles and to make sure all the controls worked as they should. After everything checked out I decided to go visit a High RES area to see how my targeting worked. Worked good and I soon found myself tracking a wanted FDL that the police were softening up. Waited till it's shields were down and the armor strength was about 20% and took my shot. 10 seconds later it exploded and I was awarded the kill money. Then it went downhill after that. I charged into a battle scene thinking this is gonna be easy money. Yeah.. naaaa. I targeted a wanted ship but failed to take in consideration it was part of a wing of three and a much bigger ship than mine and a much more skilled pilot than me. Lets just say that it didn't end well but it did end quickly. Lesson learned and hopefully I won't make that mistake again. I've been searching out a wing to join up with in an attempt to gain more skills and I believe I've found such a group. I'm on the move to a new system now about 100 ly's away from Aphra stopping at the various stations along the way to see if I can take any courier deliveries to the next star in line. 13 jumps so there should be opportunity.
