The Longing for Exploration

I have just completed a long and fruitful exploration of the Soul Nebula, a region of space rich in exobiological life forms. I have scanned and cataloged dozens of different species, from fungal colonies to crystalline structures, from bacterial mats to space pumpkins. Some of them were quite beautiful, others were rather bizarre, but all of them were fascinating.

I have sold all my data to the Universal Cartographics at Base Camp, a space station built by the Soul Nebula Expedition. They were very impressed by my discoveries and paid me a handsome sum of credits. I have earned enough to upgrade my ship and buy some new modules. (Yes, hull reparation was urgently needed as well - kind of rough “landing” on one of the planets.) I have also donated some of my earnings to the expedition, as a token of gratitude for their hospitality and support.
I have decided to spend some time at Base Camp, to relax and socialize with other explorers. I have visited the bar and ordered a beer, a rare and expensive commodity in this remote outpost. I have chatted with some fellow commanders, exchanged stories and tips, and learned about new places to visit. I have also checked the mission board and the galactic map, looking for new opportunities and challenges.
I feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction, but also a restless curiosity and a thirst for adventure. I know that there is still so much to see and learn in this vast galaxy. I am ready to embark on a new journey, to seek out new worlds and new life forms, to boldly go where no one has gone before.
