Nebula NX-602
The Nebula is currently on the Norma Expanse - Dryman's Point border. While crossing this thin line, I found out that space is much more dangerous than expected. In this particular point, even if it's well within the Galaxy's border, stars are scarce and I have to proceed step by step to reach the nebula I'm aiming. As an additional note, maybe because I've excluded all M-class stars and below but keeping stellar remains and singularities, I noticed that all the celestial bodies in this region are well above the average mass with D-type mass and above. Quite frankly I'm very happy with the current route and the discoveries I made: lot of B-Class stars. some white dwarves and literally a truckload of neutrons. I didn't used the neutron boost, just because I'm exploring and I'm not in a race against time. Plus it's very rare that the Nebula can travel at full 73ly of jump range. This scarcity of stars identified by the navigation computer, drops the jump range at an average of 55ly per jump range. That's a good news for the fuel economy that, regularly, is of 8 jump without refuel. However, I'm ready for a neutron boost in case of an emergency.
The Nebula is proving herself a worth exploration ship day after day and in one particular case, her agility, probably saved me from an emergency drop directly into the G-class component B of a binary system with a B-Class as main star. I'm not sure if I was on the Enterprise rather than on the Nebula, I would have been able to say the very same thing. Of course the Enterprise if much more sturdy, got better jump range, many more utilities and it's my flagship and older ship of my fleet. But this stubborn, little ship is quickly getting a special place in my heart. As a matter of fact, she ain't carrying all the memories and the voyages of the Enterprise, but she's writing new pages in the history, the discovery and the exploration of the Milky Way Galaxy.
Yeah, right. Every ship got its place and the Nebula, that I classified as Medium Range Explorer, will probably become a Long Range Explorer because she's proving that she's that way.
Me and the Nebula still have a long way to go and lot of regions to explore and lot of dangers to face off.
We're ready.
Captain BigBadShow80, out.
