WARNING: Foxtrot Kilo Foxtrot Kilo

17 Jun 2023BigBadShow80
Captain's Log.
Stardate June 17th, 3309.
Nebula NX-602.

This message is for all the adventurers and explorers that decide to try their luck in Formorian Frontier, maybe attracted by visiting Luna's Shadow.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS SYSTEM BYUA CHREA IW-E D11-44
This system got two pairs of binary stars with the main being an F-Class and the secondary a K-Class. This pair is coupled by another binary system similar to the first one, F-Class main and K-Class secondary.

The issue is that the two main binaries are extremely close binaries and, with such huge stellar matter, there are high probabilities to drop through the K-Class star and having a heart attack in the process.

That is exactly what happend to me on board the Nebula. I was ready for that event but, as I quickly realized, you are never really ready for a jump scare.
The main star was well hidden behind the secondary since it was almost completely shadowed by the secondary that is just a little less massive that it's companion.
I've been fooled by the star color because everything happend so quickly that I wasn't able to focus on the fact that the stellar object I was traveling into was orange in place of white.
The struggle became real when I realize that the Nebula wasn't stopping at all and was going all the way inside the star, passing directly in the middle of it, through the equatorial zone.
For moments that seemed as long as years the Nebula was surfing inside the K-Class star and resurfaced just a bunch of kilometers away from the exclusion zone heading to the north pole of the main F-Class star.
Luckily, shields were down and heatsinks has been deployed fast. Despite the heath from the stars I was completely frozen and frightened by what happened but, somehow, I managed to get away.
This is the second time the Nebula passes through a star. In this mission already happened with another system that was Foxtrot Golf Golf Golf.
Overally is my third time, the first one was with the prime Challenger NX-84 heading to Patchwork Plains, but it was a double Mike.
They say exploration is boring.
Yeah, sure.
Watch your six, commanders. Space is a cold place but surprises are always extremely hot.

Captain BigBadShow80, out.
Do you like it?
