Expedition Taco 29-JUN-3305

30 Jun 2019Rokkotaco
RFS GIORDANO BRUNO

18,919.03 ly to COLONIA.

716 JUMPS OUT

Droju MZ-J B1-10 system.

Due to the ban on ship's AI flying without supervision, and me, being the only crew member aboard with a pilot's license, the BRUNO dropped anchor so I could get some shut eye.

Departure was delayed for a field day of the ship's internal spaces. The last thing we need is an artificial gravity failure leading to a Dorito getting stuck in the FSD, causing a tunnel collapse.

Departure time: 15:42 All conditions normal.

Resuming progress.

17:39 18,648.52ly to COLONIA

DROJEAE XO-X D2-80 system.

Found geological features of note at (sys) B2A.

Going planetside to investigate.

This is a scientific expedition after all.

This CMDR has lost all bearing. This planet is so small! It has a radius of 200 km across. Planetside, I found several thermal vents with crystalline rock formations sticking off of them. We took samples, enjoyed some SRV 4 wheeling in low heat and continued on.

The BRUNO looks gorgeous out here. She's at home in the black.

Today, I gained an appreciation for the Full Spectrum Scanner. As I went, I took note of many partially charted systems, relics from an age when explorers had to visit each planet to gather data on it. Universal Cartographics will pay handsomely for this data, and this trip may secure my reputation as an elite explorer with the Pilot's Federation.

I have decided that I have three goals for this expedition.

I'd like to meet a Thargoid in witchspace.

I'd like to see a black hole.

And I would like to chart a new Earth-like planet.

I have yet to accomplish any of these goals.

Dropping anchor in DROJEAE UM-Z B47-3 System. 17,784.87 ly from COLONIA.

672 jumps left. Tomorrow, I'd like to get 5000ly further.
